Canapés

The following is a small selection of the canapés we have available, suitable for receptions with drinks and cocktail parties. The food is served on beautiful trays by our waiting staff who can also serve drinks, supplied either by us or by you (corkage fees may apply). Canapé prices include service until 10.00 pm for numbers over 60. 

 

As a rough guide, our serving suggestions are as follows:

 

  • Pre-dinner nibbles: 3-5 canapés per person.

  • A cocktail party: 4-6 canapés per hour, for the duration of the party.

  • A full-length party (where canapés are served in place of dinner, e.g. a birthday party or wedding reception): 8-12 canapés per person.

Hot

  • Vietnamese lemongrass pork balls in little gem cups 

  • Vietnamese grilled chicken in lettuce parcels

  • Filo tartlets with seared duck and tomato sesame chutney

  • Mini surf and turf – steak on rosti with béarnaise and prawns

  • Teriyaki beef in lettuce cups

  • Prawn and chorizo skewers with gremolata

  • Mini beef Wellington

  • Mini Lincolnshire sausages with wholegrain mustard and honey

  • Mini cheeseburgers with tomato relish

  • Mini mouthful of beer-battered fish, chip and mushy peas.

  • Roasted Peking duck pancakes with cucumber, coriander, spring onions and hoisin sauce

  • Grilled English asparagus tips wrapped in Parma ham with hollandaise sauce (only when in season)

  • Traditional bangers and mash with Cumberland pork sausages and port and onion gravy

  • 28 day aged Scottish beef in a tiny Yorkshire pudding with watercress and horseradish cream

  • Oriental Thai spiced crab cakes with a sweet and sour dressing

 

   Vegetarian

  • Goat’s cheese and caramelized onion chutney crostini 

  • Falafel with mint yoghurt dip 

  • Baked Camembert served whole with garlic crostini to dip 

  • French fries served in newspaper cones with tomato chutney 

  • Stilton and chutney rarebits 

  • Mediterranean vegetables marinated in garlic and thyme oil served on a toasted bruschetta with red pepper pesto 

  • Feta, basil and black olive wrapped in grilled courgettes served on bamboo skewers with a drizzle of virgin olive oil 

  • Caramelized red onion and cherry tomato tarts served with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and Malden rock salt 

  • Authentic Indian vegetable samosa served with minted Greek yoghurt dipping sauce

Cold

  • Tuna/Prawn ceviche on corn tortillas with mango salsa

  • Smoked salmon in filo cups with roasted pepper and dill salsa

  • Prawn mint and ginger spring rolls (made with rice paper)

  • Smoked trout on toasted walnut bread with parsley caper salsa

   Vegetarian

  • Mozzarella sun blushed tomato and basil sticks

  • Beetroot Blinis with Garlicky Mushrooms

  • Fig and Blue Cheese Skewers

  • Thai Mango Chilli and Lime Cups

Sweet

  • Mini seasonal fruit tartlets

  • Mini chocolate cups

  • Mini lemon tarts served with a raspberry and dusted with icing sugar

  • Mini apple tarte tatin served with a hot cinnamon mascarpone cream

  • Homemade mini afternoon tea scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream

  • Miniature banoffee pie with caramelized banana, caramel sauce and whipped cream, dusted with cocoa powder
