It all began with sandwiches. In 1983 my father, who had worked in hospitality for many years, bought the Uppercrust on the Drapery in Northampton. It was the first sandwich bar of its kind, and my parents' innovative and imaginative sandwich creations had people queuing out of the door. Many of those original favourites are still on our menu today.
